Guests/Interviewees

The whole point of the show was to attempt to break down as many of the barriers between content creator and audience as possible, since radio is essentially a ‘faceless’ medium, as such, we wanted to get guests and interviewees who represented a wide range of types of radio from public service to commercial to community. The guests we got were as follows:

 

MICHAEL HORTIN

Michael Hortin is the programme and sports editor at BBC Radio Lincolnshire, in which his jobs can vary from managing programme teams (including the sports team) and overseeing the general output of the station to recruiting new team members and presenting the Saturday afternoon sports show. Michael has worked at the BBC in a variety of positions since 1999 and has won a number of awards for his work, including a gold award for Best Creative Innovation from the Radio Academy and a Silver award in the History category at the New York Radio Festival Awards.

 

SEAN DUNDERDALE

Sean Dunderdale is the Director of Programming for the Lincs FM group including Lincs FM, Trax FM, KCFM, Dearne FM, Oak FM, Rother FM, Ridings FM, Compass FM and Rutland Radio. His job role is similr to Michael’s in that he oversees all programming on the stations.

 

ANDREW FRYER

Andrew Fryer is an ex presenter at Gravity FM, a community radio station in Grantham
